Review: Landmarc Tribeca

Always, always ask the restaurant staff what they recommend. Especially when that waiter/bartender/host is clearly knowledgeable about the menu and/or very good looking.

Landmarc is known for their meat, but after consulting said knowledgeable bartender, he advised me not to miss their new tomato-feta bruschetta, and that it was 'superb'. Warm, salty, crunchy, and soft, he was exactly right when he said it was superb!

Their burger was very good as expected, but I mean come on, they specialize in meat, it should be really good. The fries were probably some of the best I've had recently. But after hearing a lot about the goat-cheese profiteroles I was expecting more than three little dots of dough on a plate for $12! Delicious, but where was the rest!?! Walk a few blocks and have Brandy Library whip you up a nice basket full (6) of their gougeres for just $8.

Landmarc also has a nice outdoor seating area, which if you sit there you will notice the incredible amount of delivery they do - which is shocking given that the entrees are around $30 each. Just goes to show how much disposable income is within a 5 block radius of Landmarc and how devoted those folks are to spending their money!

Moral of the story: go to Landmarc for the steak, skip the profiteroles and trust the wise staff!
